Most creative answer: Sisyphus: The top-left quadrant of a butterfly's northwest-half-wing, viewed from the top as it flies north.
Identify. To make this more interesting ... the cropsize will be increased periodically.
The points are back on. 3 guesses / person / day.
Here's a few more square pixels.
Oh you can't give up so soon, guys ;)
Should be easy by now.

Arni, I just said go to the next one, adhukkaaga ippadiya??
All we can do with this pic is just guess work da, I feel there is not much to analyze in the pic to figure out what it is. My request is to put pics like inside the flute where you have a nice fair chance to analyze the pic and find out what it is.
Anyway my 1st guess: Light at the end of a tunnel
2nd guess: Pic of some shadow, and you inverted the colors.
Vand u r correct. I don't think anyone can get this one. I'm trying to put things up that people can guess, but at the same time, are hard to guess becos if it's too easy, it doesn't give everyone a chance to look at it before answering. I'm going to pull this one out of the points.
All your images are very tiny. I recommend not resizing them as it might create artifacts in the jpeg during compression...This comment is as random as your image. Anyways, here are my guesses:
2.7. Color inverted eyeball
1.8. Growth of a mould/tumor
2.8 A piece of cut onion sandwitched between the floor and the wall??
(no - i am not on the creativity contest here... i seriously think the onion guess has a great shot at winning this one)
Balaks: I'm aware of the effects of JPEG compression. The form of the posted image is intentional.
B/W image of a finger?
Closep of someone's nose?
Muddian: welcome ! nosey guess, but not quite.
Senti, Vand: gave up already ? come on guys !
All: Wish u happy holidays and a great year ahead !
Eye of a cartoon character :)
I am very close to giving up.
1. Cigarette smoke
2. The latest sighting of a UFO caught on film by Arnie in the Nevada or Arizona desert.
2nd guess: X ray of a tooth :)
A ram's horn, black and white pic and colors inverted.
kaarthigai Deepam
thats a finger infront of the light of a deepam
a hand (seen: a finger) holding an egg
Eyes-u adula candle teriyardu
Eyes-u, adula finger teriyardu?
1. A cat's eye
2. A bird's eye
3. The top-left quadrant of a butterfly's northwest-half-wing, viewed from the top as it flies north.
Trunk of an elephant, I guess this should do :)
ok guys, since you have persevered so well on this puzzle, I added more pixels than usual ;)
My first guess on this - The side of a head phone that covers the ear (the inside of it with the padding around the speaker).
Duck?
1. It is one of those brass plate art pieces or one that is curved. You have used flash in taking the snap. Probably some thresholding that was done either explicitly while making a greyscale or implicitly while compressing it as a JPEG (which you did point out as something that was done).
2. It is a reflective sign of some sort that uses the 3M retroreflective material. Once again taken with flash. So, the reflective part alone overexposed.
3. Some advertisement object or something related to Swarowski, the crystal makers.
Good guesses all round folks. We finally come to the answer. Lots of guesses on fauna, and that was the category. It is the back of a killer whale.
Arun was very close, so I'll give him 0.75 and close this one.
I wish I could post images on comments, it'll help me post answer images here so that others aren't hit with the answer on the first page.
