this is a pre-coovam drainage pipe in a wash basin..wash basin may also lead into gulf of mexico
its a shripet jaru..the one with ridges along its side..a drop of water is (what else) dropping into it..and the thing on the right is a leaf of a plant that is growing in it.
this is a x-ray photo of a bambaram ..(gyro/top for the more educated)..the lines are the ridges on which the rope is wound..the black circle is the nail that runs through it.
Yet another good round of guessing, fellow bloggers. The only clue I can give at this time is that one of you is quite close to the answer. No more comments at this time.
Is it a shot of a lamp shade - those paper shades that can be compressed into a layer and then expand into a kind of spherical lampshade, when hung? The black area is the hole through which you insert the bulb.
what took you so long for the post?? guesses: 1.tunnel, 2.some kind of wind instrument, 3.Matrix-la bullet time sequence-la varum bullet trails...the black thing is probably the barrel of the gun or Neo's jacket!
can't tell u who's close without giving that person an unfair disadvantage, but here's a different clue: more than one person has identified elements of this subject in their guesses, but not the subject itself.
>sai: answer to ur q: day job, and to give u a chance to study.
3)Tunnel in a mine. (BTW..do u expect specific names..r a generic guess is also acceptable? Like say tunnel instead of the name of the exact tunnel that this is a pic of?)
ok ok The - is dash or hyphen..hyphen when pronounced in a slightly skewed manner is high fun...it is a shot of a hot air baloon from the basket..the center cirle is the hole through which the hot air blows..the rings and the leafy woody pattern on the right are just patterns.. only one thing could be more high fun than hot air baloon and that is a f-22A..this is clearly not a f-22A
ok i really thought u were trying to tease us there...but india-la negative ellam brown-a paathu idhu ennai endru puriyalai...does this have to do with colour invert? anyway, some more guesses: 1.the fuzzy picture of some army general's cap 2.cloud formation 3.the patterns on the right remind me of a floppy disk's magnetic tape,so maybe it is a distorted magnetic tape with some kind of rack on the left side.
ok no one wins this. the answer is it's the spiral binding of a book. there were two close answers from arun:"toy spring" and anu: "hand turning pages of book", but not close enough. good game all !

i think this is enough for now

a Conch?
Inside of a roll of paper?
Egg or ball.
Tchah. If only hint as to who close.

>sai: answer to ur q: day job, and to give u a chance to study.
>j: repeat guess, labdee beat u to it.
>anon: very interesting guess, but no.
>others: nope.
Covering all bases, a shell or conch shaped cup in a tunnel of icecream.
Gah. That sounds weird even to me, strike it.
ok putting 2 and 2 together , snail shell when the snail went out for a walk
kooti kazhichhu paaru, kanakku seriya varum
newton's rings..11th std physics experiment..my rings were kind of oval so gp probably did the capacitor tribal dance and rejected them
distant planetary system with a black hole sun and 30 planets spiraling into it ..the lines are traces of the planets whizzing around the sun
Stack of plates on dishwasher or something ?
>infidelstix: u take it for the creative answer this time.
>catcharun: good gp memories.
>?!: nope.
ok guys: hint: -
loo roll
what hint???
guesses:
1.A mouse(computer or real one,either)
2.A Volkswagon Beetle sillehoute.
>sai: the hint is: -
>ammani: samma guess, combining all the facts so far, but sorry, not correctu.
1)snail on a leaf
2)paper roll on a paper roll holder!
a hand turning pages of a book?
The patterns on the right side of the picture looks like that of a carpentered wood. Probably a wooden table.
The center "black thing" looks like a water drop on the lens of your camera.
(i)The left side of the picture could be a skewed image of venetian blinds.
image of objects reflected on a curved surface( could be a shiny vessel).
The objects reflected include the wooden table on which it is lying and venetian blind around the corner of the room.
repeating the hint: -
>meghna, anu: sorry incorrect
>anon: good observations on the right side patterns, but your deduction is not correct. the picture is not skewed.
3)Tunnel in a mine.
(BTW..do u expect specific names..r a generic guess is also acceptable? Like say tunnel instead of the name of the exact tunnel that this is a pic of?)
Specifically, is it the Hendrik Mine?
ok ok The - is dash or hyphen..hyphen when pronounced in a slightly skewed manner is high fun...it is a shot of a hot air baloon from the basket..the center cirle is the hole through which the hot air blows..the rings and the leafy woody pattern on the right are just patterns.. only one thing could be more high fun than hot air baloon and that is a f-22A..this is clearly not a f-22A
>meghna: generic is fine. this is generic.
>catcharun: sooper analysis da.
basically the hint i wanted to give was 'negative'
ok i really thought u were trying to tease us there...but india-la negative ellam brown-a paathu idhu ennai endru puriyalai...does this have to do with colour invert?
anyway,some more guesses:
1.the fuzzy picture of some army general's cap
2.cloud formation
3.the patterns on the right remind me of a floppy disk's magnetic tape,so maybe it is a distorted magnetic tape with some kind of rack on the left side.
Through a camera lens?
Been very out of the guessing game...
Ok is it a close-up of a camera lens with the reflection of a leaf?
The lines on the left could be the threads on the lens
I was actually wanting to post a telescope. Looks like labdee beat me to it.
Kundavy says:
Is this a shot of the horizon through a flexible hose pipe ?
>sai: recalibrate ur monitor
>balaks,labdee: nope
>kundavy: not exactly.
i'll reveal the answer tonight. come on folks, try to get it by then.
is that stuff on the right of the image a finger?
or a dried river perhaps?
ok no one wins this. the answer is it's the spiral binding of a book. there were two close answers from arun:"toy spring" and anu: "hand turning pages of book", but not close enough. good game all !
and to think i had a spiral bound book on my table all the time.....
